Lawson’s Finest Liquids
Waitsfield, VT
Lawson’s Finest Liquids required mechanical HVAC/R, plumbing and process piping for their new facility in Waitsfield, Vermont. Lawson’s new headquarters needed both a state-of-the-art brew house to brew their esteemed beer, as well as a tap room to host visitors and offer tastings.

Challenge
Lawson’s Brewery was rapidly growing, and quickly the demand for their beer outgrew their small facility in Warren, VT. Expanding and moving then increased production capacity as well as the capacity of the tasting room to welcome beer enthusiasts.
The project consisted of two separate buildings; a Retail/Tap Room and a production Brewery Facility Building. These two new facilities needed to be efficient, and Lawson’s turned to VHV as a partner to both design and build the necessary systems for both the brew house and the tap room.
Solution
Some of the unique requirements for the process terminal equipment included ultrafiltration for process steam, compressed air, CO2 and domestic water services.
Brewing Facility Building: In moving to a new facility, Lawson’s needed the help of VHV to project the proper systems and design necessary to not just maintain their existing production capacity, but to increase it from 7 brew barrels to 31, essentially tripling their output.
Retail/Tap Room: The new tasting room and visitor center needed to be comfortable and keep the fresh brews flowing.
VHV provided the project Design/Build services from the initial design concept complete to startup and commissioning of the project.
